My Choo Choo

It all started quite suddenly. Rhys got a little wind up train with a snap together circular track in a kids meal. It blew his mind. After lunch, he took a nap and when he starteld awake he called for "MY CHOO CHOO! MY CHOO CHOO???" Mere hours later we went to a park where one climbing/play apparatus was train-shaped, which sealed the whole deal.

My boy: loves trains.

We remembered that my father in law had gifted Rhys a starter wooden train set with three cars, a bridge and a few sound effects last Xmas. Since he was too young for it at the time, we put it in the closet. The night of the "MY CHOO CHOO" incident, we pulled it out. It was love at first chugga chugga . . .





Any boy mamas out there? Questions! Why do Thomas trains cost a zillion dollars? Are most of these wooden track setups interchangeable? Know of any cool add-ons for an existing train set (like bridges? stations? etc.?). Is Thomas Tank's claim to fame seriously just being a "really useful engine"? Cause that's kind of lame . . .
